Windows 11 Doesn't Let You Move Taskbar
The taskbar in Windows 11 is extremely stubborn and cannot be moved from the bottom edge of the screen. Moreover, Microsoft is not going to talk sense into it in the near future.

The taskbar in Windows 11 is one of the more enduring interface elements of Microsoft's latest system. You could say that it's so well trenched in that it can't even be moved to another edge of the screen as we could do in previous incarnations of Windows.
I'm not moving!
Although this capability is often requested by s on the Hub, Microsoft says that interest is negligible. According to Tali Roth, head of Windows Core Experiences products at Microsoft, this would be quite problematic and there are currently no plans to add this feature in Windows 11.
"It is one of those things that we are still continuing to look at, and we will keep looking to , but at the moment, we do not have a plan or a set date for when we would, or if we should, actually build the side taskbar," explained Roth.
The team working on improving Windows 11 currently has other priorities - according to Microsoft, there are more important things to add that more s are waiting for.
Still, it's a bit of a shame that this classic feature, present in almost all previous versions of Windows was not provided from the start. It is a bit like having a selfie stick without length adjustment. Sure, it does work, but something is missing.
