Adder Stone
- Where to get: Gorgon's Lair,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Soulless

You can obtain Adder Stone by destroying human figures in Gorgon's Lair.
Aloe
- Where to get: Camp, Wasteland,
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Vitality

Aloe is a simple plant with healing properties that you will find at random spots along the trail. Its main features are green leaves and a red flower.
Berry
- Where to get: Abandoned House, Camp,
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Add

You will find them on green bushes. The basic ingredient of most potions.
Black Feather
- Where to get: dropped by a Valravn monster,
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Valravn

A living Valravn may carry a feather. You'll find them in Swamp.
Butterfly
- Where to get: Camp, Wasteland, Church
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Vivid

In the Camp, there are many butterflies flying around the Wishing Well - you need to morph into a toad to catch them effectively. There is only one place in the Wasteland where you can find butterflies. There are three flower fields in the Church. To catch butterflies, you need to go between the glowing flowers and locate the insect, then chase it and catch (E) before it escapes.
- With their help you will create the Vivify potion.
- They are the currency you need to recruit pets in Mavka's Shelter.

The easiest way to catch them is after turning into a Toad. Then, by holding down the block button (Space), you will enter "hunter mode" where the screen gets darker and you can use your tongue to reach for distant objects.
Charcoal
- Where to get: Wasteland, Swamp,
- Research: 20 samples required.
- Essence: Age

Use the torch to set fire to the pieces of wood to turn them into charcoal. It is required to use a blast furnace and a stove. Get a lot of it. Also, you will use it in age-altering potions.

You can also set fire to the whole tree, saving the ax, but usually you will only get 2 coals and you have to wait a while for the tree to burn down. You can buy wood from the merchant.

In addition, cooking turns wood into charcoal: 1x Log -> 1x Charcoal.
Chicken Feather
- Where to get: chickens,
- Research: 5 samples required.
- Essence: Chicken

You can only collect feathers from chickens. You will find them in Wasteland near Fauna in the west and in the northwest (Corrupted).
Cursed Ember
- Where to get: Wasteland, Swamp,
- Research: 10 samples required.
- Essence: Hollow

Corrupted Ember is an item that sometimes spawns after breaking Corruption blisters in Wasteland/Swamp. But be careful - after picking it up, you will start to lose health. Use them right away or hide in a chest. It is used in the Hollowness potion and on the altar at the Undertaker to receive the Soul-Eater.
Claw
- Where to get: strong monsters in the form of skeletons,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: 20

You can collect claws from the following animals: Dog, Gorgon, Valravn - they all drop Claw only in Restless form. Dobhar-chu always drops Claw.
- You can find Dogs in the Wasteland in the north-west (Corrupted).
- Gorgon - in Gorgon's Lair (may require aging).
- Valravn - two in the Swamp (in the north and Corrupted in the east, beyond deep water)
- Dobhar-chu - in its lair beyond the Swamp (Dobhar-chu's Lair)
Claw provides the strongest "multiplier" essence for Add/Remove potions.
Fishbones
- Where to get: Abandoned House, Wasteland and Swamp - water reservoirs with a fish icon,
- Research: 8 samples required.
- Essence: 10

You can catch them in the pond by the Abandoned House using the Worms. They are in the trunks of trees - one is next to the pond. You can catch about 4 Fishbones with one worm.
- You also have a chance to find Fishbones by searching upside down boats (Wasteland/Swamp) as a rat.
- Sometimes they are carried by random people/skeletons.
Garlic
- Where to get: chests,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Stinky
Garlic inflicts Stinky status on enemies, or can be used to create potions that remove it.
Ghoul Skin
- Where to get: Ghouls,
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Ghoul

You can get Ghoul Skin by defeating Ghouls (you can lure them with 5 corpses). You'll find a group of them west of Swamp, behind the gate.
Gorgon Scales
- Where to get: Gorgon
- Research: 2 samples required.
- Essence: Gorgon

Gorgon Scale is an item that you can obtain from a Gorgon. It is located in Gorgon's Lair, east of the Wasteland. The entrance is blocked - you have to remove three traces of Corruption using the Purifying potion to permanently unlock the age and add the location to the map. Gorgon is practically a mini-boss and a difficult opponent. Usually it is assisted by 3 snakes. You should be accompanied by companions.
You can rob a Gorgon - its scales do not regenerate. If you want more, you have to beat it. After a short time, it will respawn in the location.
Hound Wool
- Where to get: Dogs (Wasteland)
- Research: 5 samples required.
- Essence: Dog

Dogs are found in great numbers in the northwest part of Wasteland (Corrupted). However, they cannot be skeletons, as in the picture.
Hair
- Where to get: Humans,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Human

Humans show up mostly in the Camp and the Abandoned House. You can lure them by declining offers in the Kiosk.
Horn
- Where to get: Faun,
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Faun

The Faun is located in the west of Wasteland. You can easily steal its Horn using a bush or by turning into a rat.
Mandragore
- Where to get: Wasteland,
- Research: 5 samples required.
- Essence: Change

Mandragore is the basic ingredient of a group of potions. The Mandragore grows underground and you can only see its head - a red flower. It always grows near the trunk with orange mushrooms. You will receive 1-2 units when collecting them. If you interrupt the pulling process or drop it from your inventory, it will run away.
Poppy
- Where to get: Wasteland,
- Research: 10 samples required.
- Essence: Female

You can find the poppy, e.g. in Wasteland, growing on small hills. It is used to create potions that will turn you into a female.
Rat Hair
- Where to get: Rats (Wasteland),
- Research: 5 samples required.
- Essence: Rat

You'll find rats in the Wasteland, to the south and a little bit to the west. Sometimes healthy, sometimes Corrupted. However, if they are skeletons, they will have no hair, only bones.
Reed
- Where to get: Swamp,
- Research: 10 samples required.
- Essence: Male

You will find them in the Swamp - in the water. It can be hard to see. They allow you to create potions that will turn you into a male.
Restless Bone
- Where to get: some animals and monsters in the Restless form,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Restless

Bones are dropped by most monsters in the skeleton form. However, it is easy to collect large amounts by attacking Swamp Lich living in the water in the Wasteland.
Sap
- Where to get: Explacidia (Swamp),
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Food

You have a low chance of getting Sap both from green and red mosquitoes (Explacidia). They drop 1-2 units.
Shell
- Where to get: Wasteland/Swamp,
- Research: 6 samples required.
- Essence: 5

They are Egg Shells. You can find nests in both Wasteland and Swamp. You will find either eggs or a few Shells in them. Moreover:
- By throwing an egg at the ground, you receive a Shell, but lose the egg,
- You can breed chickens for eggs - they will lay them when you feed the animals.
- You can turn yourself into a hen and lay eggs by depleting the hunger bar - if you have food, you can refill the bar from your inventory and spawn many eggs.

Snake Scale
- Where to get: Swamp,
- Research: 5 samples required.
- Essence: Snake

Snake Scale is obtained from (living) snakes. You will find them in large numbers in the Swamp and accompanying Gorgons in Gorgon's Lair.
Spore
- Where to get: Wasteland/Swamp,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Poison

Rare item that can be found in barrels in the Wasteland. You will find these barrels near the boulders surrounded by poisonous plants. You won't always find a Spore inside.
Sulfur
- Where to get: Wasteland, Merchant
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Burn

Sulfur can be found randomly in the Wasteland as smoking rocks with yellow tints. They must be broken to obtain Sulfur. Sulfur is offered by the Merchant.
To collect Sulfur without taking damage, throw something at a smoking rock.
Tea Leaf
- Where to get: Abandoned House, Merchant
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Remove

They grow on low shrubs with light green leaves. You can also buy them from the Merchant. The basic ingredient of debuff and damage healing potions.
Thorner
- Where to get: Wasteland,
- Research: 15 samples required.
- Essence: Wound

One or two plants are found in Wasteland on the hills. They are often accompanied by thorns restricting movement - you can set them on fire.
Toad Slime
- Where to get: Toad,
- Research: 5 samples required.
- Essence: Toad

The Toads can be found in the Swamp. They are not aggressive animals. 3 Toads can also be found in Dobhar-chu's Lair.
Water Bottle
- Where to get: Wasteland/Swamp, Merchant
- Research: 3 samples required.
- Essence: Wet

Empty Bottles can be found mainly in chests in the Wasteland. All you need to do is stand in the water with the bottle in your hand and press the action button to get Water Bottle. You can also buy them from the merchant.
