Release Date: December 19, 2024
An action horror game developed by Survios studio in cooperation with 20th Century Games, created for VR headsets. The game offers only a single-player campaign and the story is set between the first two movies - Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).
Alien: Rogue Incursion is a survival horror game based on the license of the cult film series, initiated in 1979 by the movie Alien, directed by Ridley Scott. The game was developed with virtual reality sets in mind, and was created by the Survios studio, whose portfolio includes such projects as The Walking Dead Onslaught.
The action of Alien: Rogue Incursion is set between the films Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). During the game we take on the role of a hero who ends up on the inhospitable planet Purdan, specifically - in a gloomy facility located on its surface. Given that this place is overrun by creatures called xenomorphs, his stay on this globe quickly becomes a real struggle for survival.
In Alien: Rogue Incursion we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game we explore a research center bathed in darkness and carry out the missions set before us, thereby pushing the story forward.
We are constantly hunted by aliens and we must be vigilant at every step. The behavior of xenomorphs is supervised by artificial intelligence, which ensures that they move and attack in a natural, yet unpredictable way.
Useful information about the location of adversaries is provided to us by a special motion sensor. The game provides us with a pulse rifle, shotgun, and other murder tools, but engaging in open combat is not always the ideal solution here. Often a better tactic is to act quietly (noise attracts the attention of enemies) and creatively use the environment.
Alien: Rogue Incursion runs on Unreal Engine 5.

After nearly two years of waiting, we received the debut trailer of the first-ever Alien game for VR devices. The footage attempts to introduce us to the atmosphere we can expect from such a title.

The video game Aliens has been announced, which appears to be an item aimed - at least in part - at fans of Alien: Isolation. Unfortunately, for now we do not know much about it, and the release seems very far away.

Game Ratings for Alien: Rogue Incursion Video Game.
GameSpot: 5 / 10 by Mark Delaney
Survios' Alien VR game loses some of its luster on the Quest platform and struggles to make its starring monster interesting regardless of the specific headset in use.
Cinelinx: 4.5 / 5 by Dustin Spino
Alien: Rogue Incursion is one of the best VR and Alien games ever made. The game not only showcases that Alien has a great potential in the gaming world (again), but it also shows how far VR gaming has come. It is one of the most immersive and fun experiences I’ve ever had on PSVR2.
GameSpace: 9 / 10 by Ed Orr
A genuinely enjoyable Alien title. Mix dread with delight and a mouth full of razor sharp fangs, and you're most of the way there. A solid entry in a franchise that fails as often as it succeeds. This mix retro future industrial design and Giger's monster don't reach the heights of Amanda Ripley's adventure, but Rogue Incursion still feels like a must buy for fans of the Xenomorph.
