Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a space RTS game, in which we lead space fleets to battles in the universe of Warhammer 40,000. The game lets the players take control over forces of twelve factions and focuses on the tactical aspects of war, while offering several story campaigns and multiplayer skirmishes.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is space strategy game set in the dark universe of Warhammer 40,000. It is a sequel to 2016’s Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and is the work of the same Tindalos Interactive studio.
The story of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is based on the tabletop incarnation of Warhammer 40,000, and revolves around the events of Gathering Storm and 13th Black Crusade. A chaos-infected space marine named Abaddon gathered the biggest army of evil since the Heresy of Horus and attempts to reach the heart of the Empire of Man, the planet Terra, and kill the Emperor. We follow these events throughout several campaigns.
As far as gameplay goes, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 builds on ideas of the first game. We receive another RTS title in which we lead war fleets in space battles. Players can use many different ships: from small and fast frigates to gigantic and slow spaceships. Skirmishes are rather slow-paced, with proper positioning of our forces being crucial, as sections of ships have different durability.
Units and their crews earn experience in missions, which lets us unlock better weaponry and equipment, as well as teach our subordinates new special skills.
Compared to the first game, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 offers much more content. While the original started with only four races, its sequel lets us command space fleets of twelve factions. Those include Imperial Fleet, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanics, Nekrons, Chaos, Aeldari (also known as Eldars), Aeldari Corsairs, Drukhars, T’au Merchants, T’au’ Protector Fleet, Orcs and Tyranids.
Additionally, creators increased a scale of battles, improved game mechanics and greatly expanded multiplayer skirmishes, with better balance and additional options. The same applies to modifications of fleets and single ships.

Version 2.2 of the Skalgrim mod for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, a game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, has been released. The new edition of the mod adds, among other things, dozens of ships and a new playable faction.
