Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 Skalgrim Mod Adds New Playable Faction
Version 2.2 of the Skalgrim mod for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, a game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, has been released. The new edition of the mod adds, among other things, dozens of ships and a new playable faction.

Currently, fans of Warhammer 40,000 game have little to complain about. The excellent turn-based strategy game Rogue Trader.
Against the background of these productions, the space RTS Skalgrim, which recently got a new version.

The mod serves as both a fan patch, improving gameplay, and a DLC that expands the content of this RTS. The project significantly increases the size of space armadas available in the game, providing a large scale of space skirmishes, thoroughly rebuilds the balance and reworks the skill system. On top of that, the project introduces a sizable set of new ships, including those of the Titan class.
The latest version of the mod is numbered 2.2 and brings a ton of changes:
- As many as 45 new ships have been introduced.
- A new playable sub-faction has been added in the form of Dark Mechanicum. It took the creator a year to develop it.
- Morale mechanics have been improved.
- Creator improved the gameplay balance, including by increasing the cost of Titans, so that they no longer dominate the battles.
With the release of version 2.2, the creator has fulfilled all his original plans. He does not completely rule out further development of the project, but warns that this is unlikely.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 was released in January 2019. The game is available exclusively on PC. The game received only one DLC in the form of Chaos Campaign.
