Dawn of the Monsters is a beat'em up that allows us to fight with giant monsters. Game was developed by 13AM Games studio and WayForward company.
The story presented in Dawn of the Monsters begins in the year 2036, when the progressing climate change has led to the awakening of monsters known as Nephilim. Giant monsters spread fear and destruction, destroying entire metropolises. To face them a special task force has been formed. of DAWN, as this was the name of the organization, needed as much as three decades to prepare for the counterattack. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait, as they created their own creatures to fight the monsters. Now there is nothing left for them but to liberate the planet from the hands of the giants. .
In Dawn of the Monsters we observe the action from the side. It allows us to take on the role of one of the four giant guardians. Megadon is a huge reptile, called a living volcano for a reason; Ganira is an oversized crustacean; Aegis Prime is a superhumanly huge and agile warrior; Tempest Galahad is a huge mech
There are 35 missions to complete, in which we traverse a variety of stages inspired by real places (led by the largest metropolises, such as Tokyo or Toronto) and eliminate hordes of enemies. Each guardian fights in his own way and has an individual set of strengths and abilities. Battles are dynamic and duels with Nephilim can be concluded with spectacular finishers. Apart from regular opponents, which are not a big problem to defeat, there are much more powerful bosses on our way.
As we progress we gain DNA upgrades, thanks to which we can increase our combat potential, and thus - prepare to face greater challenges.
Dawn of the Monsters can be played solo or in local cooperative mode for two players.

Dawn of the Monsters is the Kaiju beat 'em up we’ve been waiting for with the developers doing a grand job to create a unique experience whilst celebrating the genre. I would love to see some new characters and levels in the form of DLC or even some online PVP worked in there to ensure its longevity.

Dawn of the Monsters is a very good beat-'em-up made just a bit better because you finally get to be a towering creature that dishes out pain. The combat system is flashy yet deep, and the card upgrade system keeps things fresh as you try to find the perfect build for all four heroes. The campaign runs at a good length, with some reason to keep coming back for higher rankings. The game is fun even if you're going solo instead of co-op. Minor gripes with the game aside, beat-'em-up fans are going to enjoy having this title in their libraries.
