Gameplay

Exploration and crafting cards

In Death Howl we watch events in an isometric view. The game provides us with an open world consisting of gloomy regions like the Forest of Howling Shadows or Meadows of Illusions. In each of these locations, we gather ingredients that we use to produce cards. In addition to this, along the way we find shamanic totems that allow us to improve our deck.

Turn-based combat

During the game we often come face to face with opponents. Skirmishes with hostile creatures take place in turn-based mode, on arenas covered with a grid of square fields. We have to deal with both standard enemies and powerful bosses.

We play cards corresponding to specific close and long-range attacks, as well as those related to various offensive and defensive skills. The icing on the cake are the totems, which further increase our combat potential.

The graphic design of Death Howl was made in pixel art technique.
