Mechanics

In Decadent we watch events from a first-person perspective (FPP). Adventure leads us through various locations - from tundra, glaciers and high cliffs, to the darkness-shrouded underground, ancient necropolises or ancient mounds. In addition to this, from time to time we come across places suspended between dimensions, remnants of ancient experiments.

While traversing them, we face numerous threats - aggressive people ( of hostile mountain tribes), as well as hybrid water creatures and other terrifying monsters stand in our way. We eliminate enemies by making use of a rich arsenal that includes both conventional pistols and rifles, as well as more inventive weapons with magical and occult properties.

When facing dangers, we must pay attention not only to the protagonist's health, but also to his mental condition. When the mental state begins to deteriorate, he may experience hallucinations or panic attacks. We develop the character as we progress. Collecting mysterious artifacts allows us to increase his combat potential.
