Dolls Nest is an action game that allows us to embody a so-called "mechagirl". The game was developed by the Japanese studio Nitro Plus, which also has the game Rusty Rabbit in its portfolio.

Gameplay

In Dolls Nest we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Combat and enemies

The main element of the game is fighting opponents, with whom we engage in dynamic skirmishes. We control the "mechagirl" belonging to the combat group known as Frame Units and we must be constantly on the move, avoiding enemy blows and delivering accurate attacks. It is important to keep an eye on the energy indicator on the battlefield, trying not to let it run out in the middle of the battle. Our opponents include powerful bosses guarding access to the next areas of the Hod world.

Exploration and resources

Defeating the mentioned guardians is important because the second main element of the gameplay is exploration. We visit areas full of ruined buildings and destroyed machines and we must look for resources. The most important ones are parts and items that we can equip our "mechagirl" with, gradually adapting the mech to our needs and preferences and increasing its combat potential.
