Earth Defense Force 6 is the sixth main installment in a series of third-person shooters, originating with 2003's Monster Attack on the PlayStation 2. It was developed by Sandlot, just like the rest of the series.
Earth Defense Force 6 is set after the fifth game. As a result of the most recent, devastating world, 90 percent of Earth's population perished. The survivors try to rebuild their old society and civilization while still facing the threat of cosmic invaders.
In 2027, the aliens are still here, still attacking cities. Their numbers are constantly growing, posing an even greater threat. Humanity's left with no choice but to fight once again.
Gameplay-wise, Earth Defense Force 6 doesn't stray too much from the series formula. The game features many different missions during which we must eliminate the cosmic invaders. We'll face down hordes of various enemies, including overgrown insects (ants, hornets, spiders) and much more imposing monstrosities, gigantic, heavily armed amphibians and massive, winged beasts.
Our character can belong to one of several different classes, dispatching enemies using a vast roster of weaponry, including machine guns, laser guns and rocket launchers. There are also numerous military vehicles to control.
Earth Defense Force 6 s singleplayer, as well as local (split screen) and online co-op.
Graphics have never been Earth Defense Force's strong point, and it is no different here. Visuals-wise, Earth Defense Force 6 is average at best. Nevertheless, the creative enemy designs may be appealing.

Earth Defense Force 6 is heading to Western markets. The game will debut not only on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but also on personal computers.
