EverQuest: The Darkened Sea

The Darkened Sea is another expansion for the still popular MMORPG, EverQuest, that debuted back in 1999 as one of the first games of its kind. Given the fact that 15 years have ed since the initial release, it is worth noting that add-ons are regularly released, and this one is the 21st to expand the game.

Content-wise, The Darkened Sea offers 8 new locations – Arx Mentis, Caverns of Endless Song, Combine Dredge, Thuliasaur Island, Tempest Temple and Degmar, and The Lost Castle, among others. In every one of them, we get to face completely new, previously unknown monsters, including bloodthirsty dinosaurs. By performing subsequent quests, we can advance our character to 105th level for the first time in the history of the series. As far as mechanics are concerned, the game introduces additional activities, new spells and items, as well as trading skills. One of the most curious gadgets is the key ring that allows the players to save some space in their inventory.
