F.E.A.R. is a first-person shooter designed by creators of Shogo: Mobile Armor Division, The Matrix Online and the No One Lives Forever series. The acronym F.E.A.R. stands for First Encounter Assault and Recon, which is a name of a special government military unit designed for fighting all kinds of terrorist acitivity. All of the squad go through conventional training (shooting, melee combat, etc.), but are also trained in paranormal skills (e.g. superhuman speed, which works like the bullet-time in The Matrix movies).
The protagonist of F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault and Recon is a member of the eponymous group. He is sent with a dangerous mission to take back the Armacham Technology Corporation from the hands of unknown criminals.
When getting to know the game’s plot (written for 12 in-game hours) you explore not only suffocating interiors, but also large portions of a virtual metropolis, and you’re also able to use different means of transport (helicopter, car, etc.) as a enger. The enemies encountered on your way are quite “clever”, thanks to advanced AI algorithms. You can bring them down using many different weapons..
The developers paid a lot of attention to overall realism and implemented complex physics simulation in their game. Apart from that, the team prepred detailed visuals, which successfully recreates the industrial setting of F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault and Recon. We should also mention the high level of interaction with the environment and other of the five-person team: Rowdy Betters (leader), Jin Sun-Kwon (sniper), Spen Jankowski () and Douglas Holiday (sapper).

Do you playing as an obese main character? Overweight characters are a rarity, and they're often portrayed according to the same, unflattering cliché.
