Flight Catastrophe is a game in which we take on the role of the person responsible for crisis management on board an aircraft. Our task is to deal with all kinds of dangerous situations and ensure the safety of engers and crew. The game was developed by Polish studio Trigger Labs. The publisher is PlayWay.
Flight Catastrophe is a strategic game where the action is most often observed from the side - we look at the cross-section of the plane (similarly as in This War of Mine). The main goal of the game is to save the crew and engers from danger. The gameplay is about watching what is happening on board and reacting to various emergencies.
The player is often forced to make difficult decisions - e.g. whether to tell engers about an engine failure or to negotiate with a terrorist or try to eliminate it. We can also perform various types of repairs, change aircraft settings and coordinate crew actions. Sometimes the key to success can be to accept help from one of the engers.
We can play Flight Catastrophe only alone. The core of the game is the single player mode.
Flight Catastrophe has quite simple, three-dimensional graphic design. On the screen we almost always see only our plane (both from outside and inside). The model of the machine was developed with great care, but other aspects of the graphics - e.g. the characters or their animations - are not impressive.
