Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is a 3D platformer set in the same world as Summer in Mara. It was co-developed by several indie teams: Chibig, Talpa Games and Undercoders.
The main protagonist of Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is Koa, returning from Summer in Mara. Accompanied by her best friend Napopo, she sets off on a dangerous journey to reclaim stolen pirate loot.
Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara makes use of the top-down perspective. Koa's adventure is set in various colorful locations, including sandy beaches, green canyons and volcano interiors. While traversing the world, Koa must jump onto platforms, avoid traps and other dangers while gathering seashells. Occasionally she'll also face powerful bosses, which require both good reflexes and cunning to beat.
Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara makes use of an appealing, colorful, cartoonish artstyle.
