An action RPG with soulslike and platform metroidvania elements. Lost Epic puts the player in the role of a God Slayer, traversing the fantasy realm of Sanctum in order to challenge a pantheon of six deities.
Lost Epic is an action RPG with soulslike and platform metroidvania elements. It was developed by OneorEight, responsible for the warmly received Earth's Dawn in 2016.
Lost Epic takes place in Sanctum - a fantasy world, where humanity is fighting a fierce war against deities. The player character, known as the God Slayer, decides to challenge all six gods of the pantheon.
Lost Epic is a side-scroller. Throughout the game the player traverses various locations - picturesque plains, stone fortresses and gloomy underground caves. Most of the game revolves around completing various quests and fighting enemies. Other than story missions, there are plenty of side quests as well; some of them requiring the player to face powerful elite foes.
Combat is dynamic, requiring constant movement to avoid enemy attacks. The player must watch their adversaries closely, searching for any gaps in their defenses. During battles they can make use of magic, combat skills and melee weapons; each type of weapon has a divine skill attributed to it, a unique ability, the proper use of which can turn the tide of battle in their favour. Progressing through the game allows the player to develop the protagonist, letting him face more difficult challenges. The player may also gather resources, used to craft new gear and other things.
Lost Epic can be played in singleplayer or in online co-op.
Lost Epic's artstyle is cartoonish, colorful, easily readable and pleasing to the eye.

Game Ratings for Lost Epic Video Game.
Chalgyr's Game Room: 7 / 10 by Pierre-Yves Lanthier
Overall, Lost Epic, while not perfect, is a fun 2D side scrolling Metroidvania Soulslike. While it may be rough around certain edges, there’s still plenty to love here and it holds a challenge that I think fans of the Soulslike genre would appreciate.
GameLuster: 9 / 10 by Tim Jewett
An interesting take on the '2D souls-like' genre that takes inspiration from hack and slash games like Muramasa: The Demon Blade as much as it does games like Elden Ring.
RPG Fan: 75 / 100 by Des Miller
While Lost Epic doesn't fully execute on its ambitious ideas, it's still an enjoyable ride.
