A set of two cult puzzle games under the Monument Valley banner, developed by ustwo studio. In Monument Valley: Panoramic Collection we play as characters who travel through the title valley and solve puzzles based on perspective manipulation.
Monument Valley: Panoramic Collection is a set of two cult puzzle games, previously available only on mobile devices. The package, which includes Monument Valley 2: Panoramic Edition with all expansions released so far, was developed by the authors of the series.
In Monument Valley: Panoramic Edition we play as princess Ida who travels through the title valley seeking forgiveness for her deeds. In Monument Valley 2: Panoramic Edition, we travel to the valley as a woman named Ro and her Child.
In Monument Valley: Panoramic Collection we observe the action from isometric view. We guide the protagonists through the varied, but at the same time equally beautiful levels and solve clever logic puzzles. The puzzles are based on perspective manipulation; by rotating, shifting, raising and lowering different parts of the levels, we create optical illusions, thus paving the way further. In addition, Ida must watch out for so-called crow people who, for unknown reasons, try to disturb her, while unique problems await Ro and her Child to solve, requiring their close cooperation.
Graphics in Monument Valley: Panoramic Collection is made in characteristic minimalistic style, inspired mainly by works of Maurits Cornelis Escher, a Dutch artist, and Japanese paintings. The whole game has been adjusted to operate in high resolutions and to the specifics of widescreen displays.
