The game is a side title of the well-known Dynasty Warriors series and contains all the most important features of the representatives of this series. Her production is the responsibility of Omega Force studio, which has been working on the next installments of Dynasty Warriors for years.

Manga One Piece is the most popular and best-selling comic book in the Land of the Cherry Blossom, whose individual volumes are sold in several million copies. His extensive and multi-layered plot depicts the fate of a young boy named Monkey D. Luffy, who has the supernatural abilities of a novice pirate and his equally eccentric crew, who, together with him, is looking for the famous treasure hidden by the legendary corsair of the Golden Horn.

In the game we will see the most important Luffy's adventures presented on the cards of the comic book. So his fans should be satisfied. Unfortunately, people who do not know the source material may feel a little lost in the multitude of different threads and characters. The comic vicissitudes of the pirate crew are presented in a feature mode, separate for each of the playable characters. The creators also placed in it special scripts, which we do not see in the manga, allowing us to see an alternative version of the events shown in it. The plot is presented in the form of film interludes created on the engine of the game, which misleadingly resemble an animated adaptation of One Piece.

The main attraction of Dynasty Warriors games is fast gameplay and fight against dozens of often similar opponents. The player controls the selected hero, observing him from the perspective of a third person. Our goal is usually to defeat all enemies in a location. During the skirmishes we have different techniques and attacks assigned to individual pad buttons. We can develop these attacks between missions, taking advantage of the experience gained.

Unlike other of the Warriors Dynasty series, One Piece: Pirate Warriors introduces elements known from platformers and puts much more emphasis on filming and the intensity of boss battles. These fights are much longer, multistage and more attractive visually, because during them we can, among other things, change the arenas in which we fight and use special techniques and attacks.

Locations are divided into two categories. The first one is the levels characteristic of the Warriors Dynasty series. They are divided into territories, which we conquer by defeating all enemies in them. In the second category there are adventure levels, which we can freely explore.
