Endsieg is the title of a paid expansion for Order of Battle: World War II - a turn-based strategy game distributed in free-to-play model. Like the original, the DLC was developed by The Aristocrats studio.

Plot

Order of Battle: Endsieg is the culmination of the DLC trilogy initiated by Blitzkrieg and continued by Panzerkrieg. An extensive story campaign starts right after the battle of Kursk. It consists of sixteen scenarios and is divided into two parts.

In the first one, players take control of the German army during the Soviet offensive in Donbass (summer 1943) and the winter offensive near Leningrad (1944). While a victory will ensure their final victory over the Soviet Union, the defeat will force them to flee from the Eastern Front and take part in the Battle of Anzio in Italy (1944).

The second part of the campaign takes place on the Western Front, opened by the Allied landing in Normandy (1944). Here, our activities initially focus on defense - we take part in the Battle of Falaise, we repel the air landing carried out by the Allies as part of Operation Market Garden, as well as we defend the cities of Aachen and Huertgenwald. Here, too, players can change the course of history by defeating the Allies during the offensive in the Ardennes.

Mechanics

Order of Battle: Endsieg does not change the mechanics of the original game. The game takes place in turn-based mode, on maps covered with hexagonal grid. However, the authors introduced more than sixty new ground and air units. Thanks to this, Tiger II, Sturmtiger and PzKpfw VIII Maus tanks (being the heaviest machine of this type in history) as well as Me 262 fighters appear on the battlefield. In addition, six new specializations such as Panzerlehr (providing access to the prototype Panzerkampfwagen E-100 tank), Vampir Nachtjeager (increasing tank combat efficiency) or Uranproject (related to the German nuclear program) make their debut.

It is worth noting that although we can start the campaign from from scratch, nothing stands in the way of porting our forces from Panzerkrieg and Sandstorm to Endsiegue.

Technical aspects

Endsieg is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of the game to work. This expansion does not affect the audio-visual layer of the original.
