ORION: Dino Beatdown

Each of the players takes control of a character representing one of the three classes – Assault, , or Recon. By completing missions and killing enemies – different kinds of dinosaurs – we acquire credits that can be spent on new abilities, weapons, upgrades, or vehicles (delivered to a chosen spot). The dangerous areas can be traversed using vehicles such as buggies, mechs, tanks, or flying machines.

The gameplay of ORION introduces a number of interesting gadgets assigned to each class – healing turrets for medics, jetpacks and camouflages. The players can use a number of powerful weapons: shotguns, rifles, rocket launchers or laser cannons. In total, we are left with 15 firearms and few extra items and grenades.

Technical aspects

Released on PC, ORION: Dino Beatdown was created by a relatively small studio, but even so, it can surprise the players with pleasant visuals. The developers focused on fresh colors, a lot of special effects, and simple, but nicely done locations. The animations of the enemies – especially the huge T-Rexes or smaller Raptors – are definitely a highlight of the game. The game includes a cooperation mode for 5 players.
