A Polish adventure game created using a similar technique to Papetura - with elements cut out of paper and glued together. Pirofauna has us playing as a little Flame, helping out other creatures and protecting them from danger.
Pirofauna is an adventure game developed by the independent studio Petums. The project was supervised by Tomasz Ostafin - Papetura.
Pirofauna takes us to a foggy forest bathed in darkness. During the game we play as a little Flame who travels through the thicket and illuminates the darkness with fire from his tail, helping the worms inhabiting it and driving away hostile creatures.
Due to the creator's fascination with fireworks, fire is presented here as a friendly element that is a salvation for the frightened and lost fauna and flora.
In Pirofauna we watch the action from the side. During the game we traverse the world and gradually learn more about it and its inhabitants. We often have to help the other creatures, usually by setting various things on fire for them and illuminating the surroundings.
The graphics in Pirofauna were made using the technique known from the project Papetura. This means they consists of elements cut out of paper and glued by hand by the author. The game is set to the accompaniment of a soundtrack, created by Tomas Dvorak (known under the pseudonym Floex), who has in his portfolio music for the works of Amanita Design studio.
