Mechanics

In Rayman Mini, the action is shown from the side. The game consists of traversing colorful and varied stages riddled with various traps, obstacles and enemies standing in the way of our protagonist. The hero moves to the right on his own, but we have to use his abilities skillfully, jumping (and gliding) across chasms, jumping from platform to platform, climbing elements of the environment or finally attacking enemies.

There are six worlds waiting to be visited here, each of which is divided into eight stages; once completed, we still have to face one of the powerful bosses. On each level we can encounter creatures called Lumas, and after finding them all, we are rewarded with Electoons needed to unlock new outfits for the hero. In addition, during the game we are constantly accompanied by a stopwatch, which enables us to complete various stages on time.

Technical aspects

Rayman Mini is powered by the UbiArt Framework engine, which used in, among other things, the two previous spin-offs of the series, as well as its two major installments, Rayman Legends. The graphics adopt colorful palette and cartoonish style, and the whole thing looks very pleasing; the game is complemented by catchy music.
