Revival: Recolonization is a strategy in which our goal is to gradually rebuild the Earth, unite the tribes, as well as face other commanders and robots on a map divided into hexes. We start the game by choosing an Emissary - a character that significantly influences both our and the enemy population (through things like healing allies or reducing the accuracy of enemy units). We also decide on a specific tribe, taking into the unique characteristics of its . These define whether they perform better in agriculture, production or combat, as well as the direction of development of our cities. Over time, we can gain the ability to pull more humans to our side, using either brute force or diplomacy.

As we progress in the game, we teach the population to use increasingly powerful technologies (we develop mechanization, banking, philosophy, and many others). We provide protection to our cities using shields or blessings flowing from the totemic tree. Thanks to the great possibility of personalizing our tribe, we create unique units with different types of armor and weapons. This means we can adapt them to the challenges we face. Our army can feature unusual shooters, tanks, or elephants acting as mobile siege machines.

One of the key mechanics of Revival: Recolonization is the decree system, which is used for terraforming fields on the map. By changing the temperature in a given area, we implement the preferences of our tribe, while also influencing building and extraction options. We also use these changes to cause acid rain, storms, or gravity deviations in enemy territories.
