An FPP shooter in which we eliminate enemies to the rhythm of techno music. Robobeat has us playing as the bounty hunter Ace, trying to catch and defeat the eccentric robot Frazzer in its residence. The combat is spectacular, involving fast moves, wall runs or double jumps.
OpenCritic
Robobeat is a first-person shooter featuring a sci-fi setting. The game is characterized by dynamic gameplay focused on combat to the rhythm of a varied soundtrack. It was created by an independent developer Simon Fredholm.
We take control over Ace in the game - a well-known bounty hunter. Together with the main character, we set after the rebellious robot Frazzer, who is also an extremely eccentric showman. Before we can face him, we must confront the dangerous challenges that he has prepared for us in his residence.
Robobeat is an action game that focuses on fast combat, effective elimination of enemies and adapting to the constant techno music that accompanies the game. The game requires us to keep moving constantly, as well as to perform actions perfectly synchronized with the rhythm of the soundtrack, for which we are rewarded with points. We use spectacular moves to avoid enemy attacks or to achieve a better position in the fight. These include, among others, wall running, double jump, sliding or moving using a hook for grabbing.
We rely on a variety of weapons in the game, including an axe, a sword, a revolver, a shotgun, a crossbow, or a machine gun. Ace is ambidextrous, which allows him to easily wield two different types of weapons in his hands. Over time, we gain access to upgrades, thanks to which we freeze enemies or attack them with fiery bombs. We can also use a powerful shot that requires charging, piercing bullets or damage multipliers.
Battles in Robobeat take place in procedurally generated locations displayed in technicolor and matched to the soundtrack. We encounter large groups of rivals on the arenas (including knights equipped with a sword and shield or levitating droids), as well as bosses distinguished by special attacks.
As we progress in Robobeat, we unlock new types of weapons and additional music tracks. The game allows us to play our favorite songs when trying to overcome challenges prepared by Frazzer. We can also add our own music (in .wav, .mp3 and .ogg formats), and the game will automatically adjust the rhythm to them.

Game Ratings for Robobeat Video Game.
GameGrin: 7 / 10 by Joshua Render
While it takes some getting used to, it's possible to have a lot of fun with ROBOBEAT, especially when you add your own music.
Rectify Gaming: 7 / 10 by Victor Tan
Robobeat is a fun shooter that powers your shots in time with music of your choice. This immerses you in the gameplay and gives you a unique FPS experience. However, this game doesn’t have much going for it other than the musical shooting. Everything else feels tacked on and it’s not great for people who aren’t musically inclined.
Entertainium: by Andy Johnson
Robobeat meets the basic expectations for a game of its type. Its weapons, enemies, soundtrack, and level design are all adequate but it falls short due to its lack of a unique hook, or compelling reason to exist.
