Rocksmith+ is the next installment of the music games series developed by Ubisoft, allowing you to learn to play the real guitar. The game is offered in a monthly subscription model.
Rocksmith+ is the next installment of a series of innovative music games that allow you to learn to play electric, acoustic or bass guitar. It was developed and published by Ubisoft.
The game is offered in subscription format, which grants access to an ever-expanding database of songs. Three payment plans are available - you can buy access for a month, a quarter or a whole year. A discount is provided for Rocksmith 2014 owners. It is worth noting that the subscription purchased is for a specific platform - at the time of release, the game did not offer the option to transfer progress between platforms. An internet connection is also required to use Rocksmith+.
As in previous installments of the series, Rocksmith+ lets you pair a real guitar with PC or console (this is done with a cable or a smartphone app) and learn how to play the songs in the library.
Rocksmith+ offers a number of tools that allow you to control the learning process. The player can slow down the songs or select problematic ages for repetition. The game also makes it possible to practice outside the home, using a smartphone.
Rocksmith+ offers access to an extensive library of more than eight thousand music tracks (you get about five thousand at the start) representing a variety of genres, from rock to country to blues and funk. They include such gems as Master of Puppets by Metallica, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by Eurythmics and Sandstorm by Darude.
