Scarlett Mysteries: The Cursed Child for PC, AND and iOS is a hidden object puzzle adventure by World-Loom and Artifex Mundi from Poland. The title is set in Victorian times, where the titular heroine – Scarlett – solves the mysteries of her childhood, origins of her paranormal abilities, and the disappearance of her father.
Plot
Since childhood, Scarlett Everitt displayed supernatural powers and saw ghosts and phantoms around her all the time. Because of that, her father put her in orphanage ran by nuns, as he believed they would protect her. Many years later, she received a letter addressed to her father by chance. Then, she sets her mind on finding him and revealing the truth about her abilities. She follows the only lead and ends up in the mansion of baronet Steamayer. As it quickly turns out, it holds many thrilling secrets.
Mechanics
During the quest of unravelling the mystery, you travel through over 30 locations and solve over 30 puzzles. As this is an adventure game, you collect different items for different purposes, like opening a locker with a key or lighting your way with a lantern. Of course, the items are hidden in many locations. You also chat with other characters, try to uncover their secrets, and make them tell the truth. The heroine’s paranormal abilities come in handy when you want to see the places already visited and situations a given character took part in.
