During the game we decide about its internal and external policies and discover the secrets of the world presented.
Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind is the successor to the iconic 1999 game King of Dragon . The game combines elements of turn-based strategy, adventure and RPG. The game was created by the same developers, i.e. A Sharp.
Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind takes place thousands of years before the events depicted in King of Dragon in the bronze age-inspired fantasy world of Glorantha. We take control of the Riders clan, who left the ice-bound Golden City to find a new home. After three hundred years, our character reach the valley where they hope to meet the gods and get help from friendly spirits. But before they are able to do so, they will have to face numerous dangers, led by the barbaric Orlanthi tribe, sinister mages and lizards.
The story told in the game is non-linear, and the path it will take largely depends on the choices we make.
Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind draws on the solutions developed for King of Dragon . The game takes place in turn-based mode, and during it we make choices related to the functioning of our clan. We decide to obtain useful resources and produce food, maintain more or less friendly relations with our neighbors, solve internal problems troubling our subjects, and explore the game world (it is four times bigger than that of King of Dragon ), discover the secrets hidden by ancient ruins or finally invade hostile territories and outposts.
Like in paragraph games, the main medium of communication in Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind is not image, but text. However, in addition to rich descriptions, the game also features detailed illustrations of the events we are involved in at any given moment; we can also look at the world map at any time, for example, to send our troops to a specific location. The game is accompanied by a soundtrack by Stan LePard, a composer whose songs we could hear in King of Dragon .
