Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is a three-dimensional, turn-based role-playing game that takes place in a very colorful fantasy world. The game is a mobile spin-off of the series developed by Activision since 2011. Ring of Heroes was created by studio Com2uS Corporation (Summoner War: Sky Arena, Inotia 4, Golfstar).
The evil Kaos is trying to take over the world of Skylands by using portals and the Dark Magic Book. However, he cannot maintain the power of the artifact and a giant interdimensional rift is created. Through it, various creatures from other universes enter the world of Skylands. Eon, the Skylands Master, asks the players to help him in reclaiming the book and restoring order to the world.
Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is a tactical, turn-based role-playing game. The players assume the role of the Portal Master who can summon various creatures to the battlefield. Players can use a few dozens of different characters with unique skills and statistics. The players can create unique teams with these characters.
The gameplay focuses on completing missions and fighting. During the battles, the players are observing their team from the back, giving orders, and using skills – all in order to defeat the enemies selected by the opponent. As the players progress in the game, they gain experience points that can be used for buying new skills and runs. The latter can be used by characters in order to modify their statistics.
Skylanders: Ring of Heroes can be played alone or with other players. The game features an advanced campaign mode in which players are completing missions and revealing new parts of the map. The game also features a player versus player multiplayer mode.
Skylanders: Ring of Heroes features three-dimensional graphics of a decent quality that meets the standards of mobile games. Very colorful designs of realms and characters that perfectly fit the atmosphere of the Skylanders world are especially worth mentioning.
