Free RPG in which we lead a team of adventurers exploring dangerous dungeons. The production also enables the development of a small town, so that we gain access to new characters. The title is a continuation of Soda Dungeon from 2015.
Soda Dungeon 2 is a free RPG that focuses on defeating dungeons full of danger and monsters. The production is a continuation of Soda Dungeon, which was released on mobile devices in 2015 (two years later the title was also transferred to PCs). The continuation offers a number of improvements and novelties in the mechanics of the game. The authors of the first part, Afro-Ninja Productions and Poxpower, are responsible for creating the game. The publisher is Armor Games Studios.
The Dark Lord has returned and locked various treasures in his castle. A team of heroes - lovers of the title soda - sets off to defeat evil, ed by a helpful fairy.
In Soda Dungeon 2 we observe the action from the side. The assumptions of the game are quite simple. First we choose a team of warriors - there are different classes of characters available, including a few new ones, which were not present in the previous part. The capacities can be freely mixed. Then we go to dungeons, where we fight with our opponents and gain various items and treasures. During each expedition we will also have a clash with a powerful boss.
The fight was solved on the basis of a simple turn-based system - usually it is enough to just click the opponent, and our heroes deal with it on their own. The continuation offers a more extensive AI mechanics called Soda Script, which allows you to customize the behavior of companions based on a number of archetypes and variables. During the game we can also perform additional tasks, thanks to which we can win more prizes.
As the game progresses, our heroes become stronger and better equipped. We also develop our inn, city and armoury, thanks to which we attract even better, more famous heroes. In contrast to the first game, in the second part we will also find a crafting system, which allows you to create items of equipment for the employed warriors.
Developers have also taken care of the optional Auto-Combat feature - after activating it, our heroes will fight even when we leave the screen.
We can only play Soda Dungeon 2 alone. The basis of the game is the extended single player mode.
Soda Dungeon 2 has a funny, two-dimensional graphic design, which is maintained in the style of pixel art. This means that in of graphics the title refers to productions released in the 80s and 90s of the last century. We will find here a clear palette of colors, really many very clearly visible pixels and even more humor. The whole is transparent and fits well into the characteristic atmosphere of the game.
It is worth noting that Soda Dungeon 2 s Cross-Platform Play. Saved game states are stored in the cloud and can be accessed on any platform on which the game was released - this allows you to start playing on your computer and then continue playing on your phone or tablet.
