Stellaris Expansion Pack
Release Date: May 5, 2025
The tenth expansion for the space grand strategy from Paradox Interactive. Stellaris: BioGenesis DLC focuses on the theme of genetics, allowing us for things like creating biological ships or leading a living ecosystem with dispersed consciousness to victory.
Stellaris: BioGenesis is the tenth expansion for the space grand strategy titled Stellaris, which debuted in 2016. The add-on was developed by the Paradox Development Studio team, who were also behind the development of the original and other additional content.
Stellaris: BioGenesis focuses on genetics. The expansion opens up three paths of development for us, namely cloning, purity, and mutation. We can draw only from one of them, or combine their components, thus creating a unique, personal path.
Genetics also allow us to create living fleets composed of biological ships, including units and gigantic battleships. The DLC also brings the possibility of encountering a fallen swarm empire managed by a scattered mind combining three personalities.
For the purposes of this add-on, three origins were also prepared, namely evolutionary predators (perfectly adapting to the conditions surrounding them), the Starlight Citadel (offering earlier access to the Citadel superstructure in deep space, which is a defensive station) and wild nature (creating a conscious ecosystem).
We can also find six new ethos (genetic identification, community of sources, familiar face, air and space adaptation, civil education) and 16 phenotypic species traits. There are also cities and diplomatic spaces adorned with the motif of wild nature, portraits of species, previously inaccessible events, and a dedicated soundtrack.
Stellaris: BioGenesis is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of Stellaris.
