Release Date: October 20, 2016
A story expansion to Stellaris – a space real-time strategy game developed by Paradox Development. The greatest novelty in comparison to the base version of the game is a story campaign titled “War in Heaven” in which the player participates in a conflict between the Fallen Empires.
Leviathans is the title of the first story DLC for the space real-time strategy game Sunless Sea), helped in creating this expansion pack.
Unlike the base game that lacked any storyline, the Leviathans expansion introduces a story plot titled War in Heaven. The player is thrown in the middle of a conflict between two Fallen Empires which after years of peace decide to get back on the war path. The player can decide whether they will one of the sides of the conflict or remain neutral and try to gain profits amidst the chaos.
The Leviathans DLC for PC doesn’t introduce any revolutionary changes – it is still a real-time 4X strategy game in which the player globally manages a civilization. In addition to introducing a story plot and various new random encounters, the expansion adds a few important novelties. The first one is a new, neutral race named Guardians, creatures that hide many mysteries – solving them may proof as profitable as dangerous. Enclaves appear in the game as well – they are independent facilities created by merchants and artists. In these places the players can trade, exchange resources, gather valuable information and order some works of art that can be exhibited among their empire.
Stellaris: Leviathans for PC doesn’t introduce any serious changes to the technical aspects of the game. However, the developers implemented new sounds and music themes.

Game Ratings for Stellaris: Leviathans Video Game.
Jump Dash Roll: 5 / 10 by Daniel Garrod
If you're going to charge big for DLC, you better deliver big. Leviathans has content, but it's locked behind dozens of hours of standard playthrough. It does make small, indiscernible improvements to the base game but you can, and should, wait for a sale and pick it up then.
The Digital Fix: 6 / 10 by Tom Bedford
Leviathans doesn't exactly shake up the game, but it fixes a few balances issues and adds enough variety for a few extra runthroughs.
GameSpew: 6 / 10 by Matthew Hung
Leviathans offers some nice new features, but does not add enough worthwhile content to Stellaris to recommend purchasing alone or to justify the price tag.
