Release Date: June 26, 2023
A free-to-play spin-off of Temtem. Temtem: Showdown revolves entirely around PvP turn-based combat between Temtem trainers, sending out the titular creatures into battle.
Temtem: Showdown is a spin-off of Pokemon. It's an indie free-to-play production developed by Crema, the same studio as its prdecessor.
The story of Temtem: Showdown doesn't matter much. The game is set in the same world as the original, having us play as a Temtem trainer, creatures living symbiotically with humans.
Temtem: Showdown revolves around battles against other player-controlled Temtem trainers. The game doesn't feature exploration or creature catching. We receive a full roster of monsters right away, all of which differ in of appearance and elemental skills.
After choosing the desired Temtem, selecting skills and increasing their stats, we can send our team to battle in the arena. Combat is turn-based, usually 2v2, requiring using correct skills and attacks of our Temtem to counter the opponent's moves and exploit their weaknesses.
Each victory rewards us with money, which can be spent on various cosmetic items.
Temtem: Showdown only s multiplayer. The available modes include casual battles (for honing one's skills), ranked battles (in which we ascend the official rankings) and special tournaments (held by both the developers and the community).
Temtem: Showdown retains its predecessor's colorful, cartoonish artstyle.
