The Gap is an FPP psychological horror adventure game. The player tries to cure the unusual illness of the main character with the help of technology that allows the exploration of memories, as well as opening gates to alternate realities.
The Gap is a psychological horror adventure game. It was developed by the Slovenian studio Label This, and published by the Polish company Crunching Koalas.
The main character of the game is Joshua Hayes - a neuroscientist, whose family is affected by a rare genetic disease, slowly devouring the minds of the sick. Hope for rescue is given by an experimental program run by the company Neuraxis. It soon turns out, too, that the process used in it has an unusual side effect, namely, it causes gates to alternative realities to open.
In an attempt to heal himself, the protagonist becomes embroiled in a dark corporate intrigue and discovers the secrets of Neuraxis.
The Gap is an adventure game, in which events are observed from a first-person perspective. We explore locations, make decisions and solve logic puzzles.
The gameplay is diversified by the fact that the plot forces the player to explore the protagonist's most important memories - both the good and the bad ones, which provides a variety of sequences.
The game offers a single-player mode only.
The Gap features attractive three-dimensional graphics built on the Unreal Engine.

Game Ratings for The Gap Video Game.
GameSpew: 8 / 10 by Kim Snaith
The Gap is a very pleasant surprise, and a great amount of praise needs to be showered onto its developer, the two-person team of Label This. This is a clever and engaging thriller, brought to life with believable characters and a very grounded approach to science fiction that we can really get behind. It isn’t without the odd hiccup, but they’re easy to forget once you’re absorbed into Joshua’s compelling story.
GameGrin: 7 / 10 by Mike Crewe
The Gap has a compelling and sombre narrative and an interesting premise that will appeal to fans of slow-burning mysteries. Whilst the puzzles could have been slightly more complex, this short game of one man's quest to save his loved ones is still a tale worth experiencing.
Nintendo Life: 7 / 10 by Mitch Vogel
The Gap may suffer from some overly basic puzzle design and visual ticks, but this is ultimately an enjoyably mysterious narrative that's still worth the few hours it takes to see through. Its launch price feels a bit high for what’s on offer here, but we’d suggest scooping this one up the first time it goes on sale.
