The Mobius Machine is a metroidvania game, created in the form of an action platformer. The game was developed by the independent studio Madruga Works, whose portfolio includes such projects as Dawn of Man.

Mechanics

In The Mobius Machine we watch the action from the side. The game takes us to the science fiction universe, specifically to the industrial moon of Isolaria. During the game, we discover its secrets, looking for a way to escape.

The adventure leads us through various locations, among which we will find a spaceship graveyard, mining areas, or submerged forests. Individual locations are connected with each other, together creating a kind of labyrinth. The character we control is very mobile, so we can not only run, jump on platforms and avoid traps and terrain obstacles, but also climb walls, dive and glide.

Numerous enemies lurk in the visited locations. We encounter, among others, bloodthirsty fauna, aggressive infected colonists, and abandoned machines. Apart from regular enemies, from time to time we have to face powerful bosses. We eliminate adversaries using futuristic firearms. We can have up to two guns with us at the same time, and we can freely switch between them.

As we progress, we acquire plans and resources that allow us to produce new weapons and various improvements to the equipment we already have. New equipment often not only increases our combat potential, but also gives us access to places that were previously closed to us.
