The Mummy Demastered for PC, XONE and etc. is a 2D action game with shooter and platformer elements. It was developed by WayForaward Technologies, creators of DuckTales Remastered, A Boy and His Blob, and the Shantae series.
Plot
The game is based on the license of the 2017’s film The Mummy. Action takes place in modern times. We play as an agent of Prodigium, an organization that protects humanity from supernatural threats.
The story focuses on stoping the undead army that was summoned by the Egyptian princess Ahmanet, the titular mummy.
Mechanics
The Mummy Demastered for PC, XONE and etc. is a game that combines elements of two genres. The most basic gameplay mechanics are that of a platform game. Maps were created in 2D. Like in many other similar games, we move foraward to the right, avoid all sorts of traps, and eliminate encountered enemies. At the same tame, the game has a bit of a shooter in it. We will spend most of our time on combat where we can use a wide array of firearms. We will also have to face powerful bosses.
The Mummy Demastered has a rather lengthy story campaign during which we will explore dark forests, military bases, and and a sandstorm-covered London.
