Tom Clancy's The Division 3 is the third installment in a series of looter shooters originating from 2016. It was developed by Ubisoft Massive and supervised by the franchise's executive producer, Julian Gerighty. Once again, the game was published by Ubisoft.

Tom Clancy's The Division is a series of third-person shooters with RPG elements (so-called looter shooters), created with multiplayer gameplay in mind. The series was developed by Ubisoft-owned studio Massive Entertainment, in cooperation with Red Storm Entartainment, Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Annency.

The Division series was supposed to be developed like Assassin's Creed, but this will not necessarily translate into the creation of Tom Clancy's The Division 3.
