Tricky Towers is an interesting logic game for PC and PS4. It was developed by Dutch studio WeirdBeard, the creators of 99 Bricks Wizard Academy. The creators consider their new title as the spiritual successor of the previous project because it is based on same principles that were strongly expanded.
Mechanics
Tricky Towers for PC and PS4 is a modern variation of Tetris. The players are tasked with combining colorful blocks that fall from the sky. In difference to the famous game, in Tricky Towers the bricks don’t disappear but create a tower instead. The player is tasked with creating as tall a construction as possible; which isn’t an easy task because of game’s physics. The tower can start tilting or even collapse if the pieces are connected in wrong way.
Another innovation is related to the fact that the players assume the role of sorcerers. They can use spells to help themselves or to make it harder for the opponents to construct the towers, for example by summoning a big brick that will break their towers.
Game modes
Tricky Towers for PC and PS4 is a game focused mostly on multiplayer mode for up to four players. In this mode the winner is the player whose building lasts till the end. It is also possible for two players to play through local network. In Survival mode one must use selected number of bricks before other players, Race mode is about building with a time limit and Puzzle mode forces the players to add as much bricks as possible to the construction without reaching selected tallness of the tower. Players who prefer to play alone can complete 50 levels of singleplayer mode.

WeirdBeard’s production is a simple but fun game that offers minimalistic, colorful 2D graphics and light tone.
