Mechanics

United Penguin Kingdom makes use of the top-down perspective. The player must manage all aspects of the settlement - gather resources, construct energy-producing generators, buildings and take care of the inhabitants' needs.

Though they're penguins, their needs are human - education, culture, work, entertainment. This means our city needs houses, workplaces, refrigerators for storing food, but also cinemas, arcades, museums, karting tracks, gyms, fight clubs, schools, libraries, chapels and wishing wells. If we want our village to prosper, we must also handle its security. Our primary means of defense against building-destroying orcs and food-stealing seals are special towers.

If we play correctly, our settlement will start developing and making money; we can fill up our treasury by trading produced goods. Eventually, our village will turn into a kingdom, and we will become its king. This opens up the game's world, unlocking new lands and settlements we can possibly annex.

Technical aspects

United Penguin Kingdom features colorful, cartoonish visuals. The building designs and penguin animations are all rather appealing, as our citizens play, learn, work, or take up arms and defend their home when necessary.
