Viking Squad

Viking Squad for PC and PS4 is a 2D beat'em'up game by Slick Entertainment, known for such productions as N+. In the game, you lead a group of Vikings, who roam the world in search for treasure for their shady and greedy jarl.

Mechanics

The gameplay consists in attacking and pillaging villagers, which you can reach by Viking ship. You fight battles with the locals, who valiantly defend their homeland. Fortunately, there are several kinds of warriors, using different types of weaponry and abilities. As the game progresses, you earn experience, which enables them to carry better weapons and equipment.

During every raid, you use limited resources. When they run out, you have to go back to your village, sell your loot and replenish the resources. Gameplay is based on the players’ skills and precision. In practice, it means that e.g. critical hits are not randomly generated, but require you to strike at the right moment. The game is co-op oriented, although you can play it on your own.
