Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a turn-based strategy game using the well-known universe of Warhammer 40,000. The game allows you to explore the events that took place after the famous Devastation of Baal. The game was developed by Black Lab Games.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a turn-based strategy. The game is set in the popular science fiction universe of Warhammer 40,000, known from the wargame of the same name and numerous computer games. The game was developed by Black Lab Games studio (developers of Star Hammer series). The publisher is Slitherine.
In Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector we control a sergeant named Carleon, a member of Space Marines from the Blood Angels legion. The game is set on the moon of Baal and the story will follow the aftermath of the great battle known as the Devastation of Baal. The main enemies are the Tyranids.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a fairly classic, turn-based strategy in which the action is observed from different perspectives (usually from above, but we can freely move the camera). The player's task is to manage units on the battlefield in such a way as to win over the enemies.
Both the correct positioning of soldiers and the use of their diverse weapons and dozens of different special abilities play a key role here. Powerful heroes, who often use superhuman abilities (e.g. psionic powers), have a great influence on the battlefield.
The game allows us to direct a number of iconic units, such as the Sanguinary Priest, the Librarian Dreadnought or the Hive Tyrant (a monster on the Tyranids side). The game also offers the ability to use air and an interesting Momentum mechanic, which allows you to link the actions of several units in devastating combinations.
It is worth noting that in the story campaign, as the game progresses, our heroes gradually develop, learning new skills and attacks.
In Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector we can only play alone. The game offers a story campaign with dozens of missions, as well as a Skirmish mode, in which we can fight single battles, freely adjusting the troops and their weapons. Players can also use the local (hotseat) and online multiplayer mode.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector features quite good, 3D graphics. The graphics design present a rather average level in of technology, but well reflect the characteristic atmosphere of Warhammer 40,000. Detailed and well animated models of individual soldiers and enemies also deserve attention.
