Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate is a typical turn-based strategy game that somewhat resembles UFO: Enemy Unknown. The battlefield is observed from an isometric point of view. The player assumes the role of a commander of one of the Ultramarines ships. Not only are there 15 main missions to beat, but a number of side ones that offer a chance to buff up our subordinates and get them some new gear. Our units are characterized by 10 feats that influence their real combat value. The longer the service, the better these feats become. The atmosphere of the game is enriched with film cutscenes between the missions.
The game comes with a scenario editor. Apart from the single player mode, the players get to try themselves against others via LAN or the Internet.
