World Warfare & Economics

Mechanics

We'll spend most of our time playing World Warfare & Economics looking at world maps, region maps and interacting with the interface. Our priority should be the country's economy, as it's what fuels every nation. We must construct facilities, gather resources, produce goods, trade, monitor our workforce and set taxes. Economic growth and inflation rates indicate how well we're doing.

Diplomacy also plays an important role. If our army's not strong enough to defend ourselves from our neighbors, we must instead do our very best to maintain friendly relations with them. If our army is strong, we can attack other nations to subjugate them by force. The game lets us directly control our troops at sea, on land and in the air. We can also increase our prestige through different ways, such as winning sports competitions. Players who enjoy politics can also run in elections and form coalitions with various parties.

That's not all, as we also need technological advancement to dominate other countries. There are hundreds of discoveries to unlock, some of which can change the course of history; these include computer science and nuclear energy. By ing the space race, we'll earn the opportunity to colonize space and compete with other nations on other planets.

Technical aspects

World Warfare & Economics features simple graphics, but they serve their purpose well. The interface is extensive, but designed intuitively.
