A 37-minute Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay on Switch 2 looks promising. The game runs way smoother than before
Switch 2 might actually handle Cyberpunk 2077. New footage shows it runs at stable 30 FPS.

Less than three weeks to go (assuming no delays – fingers crossed) until my Switch 2 arrives! We already know what’s under the hood thanks to Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage, it’s clear this little beast might handle them surprisingly well.
Bit blurry, but at least it’s smooth
We already heard that Pawel Sasko, the quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077, was really proud of how the game runs on the Switch 2. People who got to try it out at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events around the world had some pretty optimistic first impressions too. But now, we’ve got something even better – a new 37-minute gameplay video of Cyberpunk 2077 running on Switch 2 was just released yesterday.
The video shows off different parts of the game, driving through Night City, intense combat, and some cinematic cutscenes. What makes this especially interesting is that early hands-on reports from closed-door demos on the Switch 2 pointed to some performance issues. Testers said the frame rate was tough to keep steady, which made some people question the promises made a month ago by Tim Green from CD Projekt Red.
But now, this new footage suggests that a lot of those problems have been ironed out. The gameplay seems to hold a pretty steady 30 frames per second throughout. A big reason for that could be Nvidia’s DLSS tech, that renders the game at a lower resolution and then upscales it, giving you better visuals without putting too much strain on the console’s hardware.
Some people might find parts of the combat or driving scenes a bit blurry, but let’s not forget that YouTube compression can affect video quality. Sure, it’s still a noticeable downgrade from what you’d see on a PlayStation 5 or a high-end PC, but this is a handheld we’re talking about. Who expected Cyberpunk 2077 to be running this well on something you can take on the go? I’m genuinely impressed and can’t wait to try it out for myself. At least CD Projekt RED has promised it won’t be the mess it was on PS4 or Xbox One, and that’s already a win.
