Among Us 3D release date will be sooner than you think

Probably no one expected an astounding success that series evolution – Among Us 3D. What is it and when we’ll be able to take it for a spin? Let’s dig deeper to find its release date.
Among Us 3D release date explained
It is worth starting by stating that Among Us 3D is an extension, a next step in evolution of Among Us VR that will completely replace it one day. The first big difference is that 3D will ditch the requirement of Virtual Reality headset, yet it will still it, of course. Another big addition will be crossplay unifying players on Steam with those using Meta Quest, Steam VR, PS VR 2 and PICO. Sounds great, doesn’t it? So, when can we lay our hands on it?
The short answer is – now. It is not very precise though, as currently only a demo released for Steam Next Fest is available, which means that it’s time limited. What about the full game, though? The date has not been confirmed yet and Steam page shows only “Coming soon” information, but there is something that lets us deduce the rough date of full release – the roap.
While the development of a game is a complex process and is always a subject to change, the roap suggests that we can expect the 1.0 release this year (2025). What is more, the creators are still planning to launch content that will come after the full version, which allows us to speculate that it can come even faster than by the very end of the year.
It is also worth noting that the change from Among Us VR to 3D will happen gradually. It will not be a simple flip of a switch, but rather a constant work to flow from one title to another. Additionally, if you already own a VR version of the production and would like to continue playing this way, you don’t need to buy the 3D. Have fun!
