Larian Studios is currently working on Patch 8 for introduce, among other things, 12 new character subclasses. Meanwhile, the studio's head, Swen Vincke, shared his honest opinion with players about single-player games.
The Belgian posted on X an entry, stating bluntly that these types of titles are not dead, contrary to what some people think. However, in order for them to achieve success, they must simply be good. It's not a revelation, but there is a need for well-known people in the industry who speak such words directly.

Throughout the whole year of 2024, we also received many great games for single players. Just to mention Stellar Blade. So players have plenty to choose from and it seems that single-player games aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
Swen Vincke, along with the entire Larian Studios team, who are currently fully focused on a new game, will certainly demonstrate this as well. However, we will have to wait a bit for this title.
