Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 devs warn of scammers monetizing game's success. Outstanding RPG may be coming to another platform
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on Nintendo Switch 2 is an interesting idea for the developers, who also have plans for an official gadget related to one of the RPG's characters.

The developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are warning about potential scammers selling non-existent plush toys, but they do not rule out either creating these or releasing the game on another platform.
The devs from Sandfall Interactive studio issued a statement regarding many sellers offering plush toys of one of the characters from this successful RPG, Esquie. As mentioned in the post on X, none of the scammers offering this product have an official license, and many of them using graphics generated by AI. So there is a good chance that such offers are just a scam.
As a consolation, the team is considering creating, "as soon as possible," an official series of plush toys with Esquie. So if you would like to add this character to your collection, you have to wait.
Switch 2 "interests" Clair Obscur devs
Guillaume Broche spoke on another matter. During an interview with the host of the mistermv channel, the CEO of Sandfall Interactive said that "everything changed" after the success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and that the idea of porting the game to the Nintendo Switch 2 is "interesting" for the developers (via MP1ST).
Nevertheless, he underlined that it is too early to talk about this issue. Switch 2 hasn't been released yet (it's happening on June 5th), and we still don't know for sure how powerful the new Nintendo device will be, even though we already have some basic information (via Eurogamer). Perhaps that's why Broche preferred not to make any specific promises for now.
