Here's Why Cyberpunk 2077 Won't Offer New Game Plus
One of the developers from CD Projekt RED explained why there is no New Game Plus mode in Cyberpunk 2077.

One of the features that fans have been asking for since the launch of the release of patch 1.6 and the hopes of those waiting for the addition of this mode were once again dashed. CD Projekt RED level designer Miles Tost explained on Twitter why the team has not yet prepared the NG+ option.
- According to Tost, making a New Game Plus mode would be very difficult.
- The entire campaign would have to be rebalanced and a ton of testing would be necessary.
- Many elements in the game, both in dialogue and gameplay, are based on skill tests, and most of them would have to be reworked, while taking into changes in attributes and perks.
- On top of that, it would be a problem for the players to have advanced jumps and the best vehicles in the early parts of the campaign. For example, the ability to do double jumps could mess up a lot in the early stages of the adventure, enabling us to get where we shouldn't. Many of the scenes would also need reworking - such as the first operation.
- All this means that creating a New Game Plus mode would require a lot of work. The developers would have to review most elements of the game and make many adjustments.
- Miles Tost its that the studio knows that players want the NG+ mode , and it is possible that it will be added in the future, but for now he is unable to promise anything in this regard.
Tost's explanation makes sense. Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge game, with tons of choices, locations and upgrades - both stats and cyberware, so adding a New Game Plus would not be an easy task. Of course, that doesn't mean that introducing this option wouldn't make sense, but it's not hard to understand why the developers haven't decided to do so for now. 2077 debuted in a terrible technical condition and fixing the game (which is not yet over) must take priority over the introduction of NG+.
