Devoted Fan Continues to Fix Disciples 2
A new version of Disciples 2 Rise of the Mod has been released, a mod that fixes virtually all the problems of the turn-based strategy game Disciples II: The Rise of the Elves.

21 years have ed since the release of Rise of the Mod, which recently received an update.
Rise of the Mod is a modification designed for Disciples II: The Rise of the Elves. The project acts as an unofficial patch. The author has fixed virtually all the bugs and shortcomings left by the original developers, as well as heavily improved the balance of gameplay, based on several years of experience of the fan community. He made these changes so that factions are more diverse and playing them gives more freedom.

The new release of the mod is numbered 2.1 and is the first update in more than two years. For a long time it seemed that Birdy had stopped working on this project and version 2.0 would be the last. Fortunately, this has not been the case.
Version 2.1 introduces several hundred balance fixes, both for troops and spells. The creator has also restored werewolf units that were cut a few years ago. In addition, many bugs have been fixed.
The balance changes are so large that the new version of the mod is not compatible with old saves game files. So, if you are currently during a playthrough, finish it first before installing the update.
Recall that the project currently sold on Steam as Disciples II: The Rise of the Elves is actually a bundle containing both the base game and the content of the Rise of the Elves DLC. This is a heavily aged production, so if you want to play it today, it is worth installing the modification called OpenGL Wrapper, which fixes visual problems that appear on modern PCs and operating systems, as well as adding for ultra widescreen resolutions.
