Elden Ring Sales Remain High; It's FromSoftware's Biggest Hit
Bandai Namco's latest financial report dispels all doubts - Elden Ring is not only a strong candidate for game of the year, but also FromSoftware's biggest sales hit.
In August FromSoftware once again has reasons to rejoice. The latest financial report confirms the company's excellent condition, and at the same time it confirms the thesis that demand for difficult games is not decreasing.
Studio's biggest hit
Details can be found in the latest Bandai Namco Entertainment. According to it Elden Ring has reached 17.5 million copies sold worldwide. This is the result achieved as of September 30, 2022, so it is not impossible that before Christmas the game will hit 20 million units sold.
What's more, Elden Ring is currently FromSoftware's best-selling game. Bloodborne achieved a result of 3.1 million copies over the first five years. Unfortunately, the company was not tempted to reveal more up-to-date stats.
Elden Ring with nomination for game of the year
The Game Awards 2022 gala will take place on the night of December 8-9. As every year, the judges will decide on the awards in as many as 32 categories. The biggest trophy is, of course, the title of "Game of the Year 2022," which will be competed for by, among others, Elden Ring. Other nominated titles are A Plague Tale: Requiem.
