Epic Games Store Hotfix Repairs Error With Excessive Data Traffic
Sergei Galyonkin announced the release of hotfix 11.0.2 for Epic Games Store client, which fixes a bug that is responsible for sending out excessive amounts of data and significant U load. While it's not a complete solution, it clearly improves the situation.

A popular superstition is that no game is as U-heavy as running a Google Chrome browser with a dozen tabs or so. Similar jokes could have started circulating about a certain digital distribution platform if not for the latest update. Epic Games announced hotfix 11.0.2 for Epic Games Store client to remedy the issue of store's client huge U load. It's not a complete solution, but, according to platform's manager Sergei Galyonkin, it should improve the situation.
The error in question has raised alarm for two reasons. The first was the aforementioned huge increase in U usage, which also manifested in an increase in temperature. The problem concerns both Intel and AMD models. The second reason is the process that causes it, which is supposed to send suspicious amounts of data from our computer. Galyonkin claims that this is due to a malfunction of Epic Games Store's browser module, which fails to detect that it has been minimized and, as a result, works as if it was active. Not everyone has noticed this problem, but apparently it is quite common. Nevertheless, judging by the comments on Twitter, there is a clear improvement.
