Get the classic Shadow Warrior for free on Steam and GOG.com
The classic Shadow Warrior is currently available for free on both Steam and GOG.com. We're talking about the original 1997 version from Duke Nukem 3D creators 3D Realms.
While the two new Shadow Warrior games from Poland-based developer Flying Wild Hog are really neat, you may want to try out, or revisit, the classic version of that over-the-top slasher/shooter, which was brought forth by Duke Nukem 3D creators 3D Realms back in 1997. And now you have a chance to do it at no cost, as the classic Shadow Warrior is available for free on Steam and GOG.com (the latter offers a DRM-free version). Or you can fork out one dollar for the Redux version on Steam.

Shadow Warrior lets you play as Lo Wang, a fearsome ninja assassin who fights armies of evil samurai and mutants using traditional Japanese weapons – such as katana sword, throwing stars and shuriken – as well as all sorts of firearms. Just like 3D Realm’s other famous game, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior features ultra gory violence, although it’s all very grotesque and dipped in characteristic black humor.
